Fortress Josefov

Town Josefov was military fortress. Today is part of Jaroměř town and is urban conservation area.

Fortress Josefov

Fortress was build reign emperor Josefa II. This place was used for protect borders from Prussia. Building was finished over 7 years.

If you would like to go inside of the fortress, guide say you a lot of information about things as how the fortress was constructed, how was used its parts and he say to you next gadgets in case attack enemy.

Unfortunately inside is ban to making photos. Therefore I can flaunt of the pictures from outside. There they are:

Unclosed entrance in the underground

This entrance we was found thanks geocaching. We was dared for little look inside. Who knows, what can be there :)...

We was visited one's home

Fortunately nobody wasn't there.

Pets cemetery

This "cemetery" is located near fortress Josefov.

Military cemetery

This place breathes on you mysterious feelings. There aren't gravestones, but there are only labels with numbers. In entrance to cemetery are numbers with names of persons who is buried here.
